About Me

My name is Karoline Haffner and I am the founder and director of Somos . I was born in Peru and spent my childhood there and in Germany. I was very fortunate to have learned three languages through total immersion at a young age. In college, I studied Audio/Visual Communications in Peru and Theater Arts in New York City.  My life has been greatly enriched because I speak multiple languages. I have made many wonderful friends of varying backgrounds along the way and have always found being bi/tri-lingual to be a desired skill in the professional world.
Since 2003, I have enjoyed passing along my language skills through teaching. I started teaching Spanish and ESL at the Inlingua School of Languages in Germany. I then moved to Seattle in 2007 and began teaching German and Spanish for Rosetta Stone and to a few private clients.
